“The key to writing is learning to differentiate private interest from public entertainment.” - David Foster Wallace
Currently reading Although of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself by David Lipsky about his road trip with DFW immediately following the publication of Infinite Jest. So. Damn. Good. It exposes in casual conversations the raw, slightly damaged side of DFW, but more importantly the philosophies and criteria that guided his work. Highly recommended.
“ Destiny always leans trenchcoated out of an alley with some sort of Psst that you usually can’t even hear because you’re in such a rush to or from something important you’re tried to engineer.” | David Foster Wallace

A word from the curator
Though certainly not the greatest fan of sport whoever lived, during a recent trip to NYC I didn’t hesitate to wear my recently purchased Enfield Tennis Academy t-shirt to Citifield.
The vague hope was that someone might recognize the reference to Infinite Jest, might treasure the words of David Foster Wallace as much as I, might connect on some deeper level than the Mets versus Angels game would allow. Alas, no such luck.
Here is where you can buy your own customizable ETA shirt. I hope to spot you wearing it. - ZU
